What information does TWI collect?


Contact forms and downloads

If you fill in the contact form or register to download a PDF report, you will be asked to provide personal information such as your name and email address. This information is collected only with your knowledge and permission, and is kept in TWI database. 


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on the site. By setting a cookie, TWI will remember you the next time you visit the site and therefore TWI will not have to ask questions that you have already answered (like name and email).

What does TWI do with the information it collects?

Anonymous web usage
The information gathered during general browsing of the “” domain is used to analyze trends and usage of the TWI site and to improve the usefulness of the site. It is not connected with any personal information.
